The Wine for Dudes Pink Bubbles Wine Tour on Sunday 15th November, was a great success and raised $6000 for The National Breast Cancer Foundation.

30 ladies of young and young at heart, dressed in pink for a day out on tour, meeting new friends, learning about wine, the region, relaxing and having fun...

Our Pink Ladies toured from Margaret River and Dunsi/Busso to Becketts Flat, Willespie, also Flying Fish Cove and Evans & Tate, and met up at Bootleg Brewery who had set the scene and our tables under a sea of pink balloons and streamers.

They gave us an amazing deal for our plattered lunch with bubbles on arrival, so that we could give $70 of our $80 tour ticket into the NBCF! We met our lovely guest speaker, Jenny Berry, ambassador for the NBCF and she captivated everyone with a very inspiring speech, sending a strong message out to all who were within earshot at the brewery that day.

Biggest Fundraiser Awards and Prettiest In Pink were awarded at lunch and went to Gayle Pratt (a.k.a. the gale force winds of fundraising!) and to Sheryl Schoenwald who jumped on board from QLD! The raffle donation tins kept going out in full force during the day gathering hopeful winners for the big draw at Saracen Estates, but before then a few more stops were enjoyed – both the hills, Hayshed Hill and Knotting Hill.

To finish the day, the girls at Saracen Estates helped to provide their usual VIP experience with a lovely wine tasting and coffees on the stunning decking. The major raffle draw was the big attraction on the decking of which after glasses were cheersing with the announcement that we were nearing $5700 of funds raised. Our special event went off with a bang – an auction with a bottle of Bollinger which went to some very excited ladies and topped our tally to $5850. Not happy with that, the girls all chipped in to ensure that we had in fact, reached the $ 6 0 0 0 mark and the applaud sounded out for everyone’s hard work and a fantastic day enjoyed by all.

Wine for Dudes Wine Tours Margaret River raises $6112.50 with PINK BUBBLES DAY for The National Breast Cancer Foundation!

The prominent red ‘Dudes’ logo turned shades of pink for an all ‘ladies tour’ called the PINK BUBBLES DAY held on Sunday 29th June 2008.

What started as an innovative conversation between friends, quickly evolved into an opportunity to raise some funds for an important charity.  Being an all girls tour, the pink theme came to mind and the NBCF.

John, donated his time at the helm of the wheel and provided his Carbon Neutral buses for the day.

The itinerary floated along visiting cellar doors popular for the beloved ‘bubbles’, stopping for lunch along the way.

A raffle of an array of donated prizes from local businesses, helped to make the most out of the day and to raise as much money as possible.
